Toujours couper les mèches à 0,6 cm (1/4 po) avant d’allumer la chandelle et vérifier qu’il n’y a pas de débris dans la cire. Ne jamais faire brûler la chandelle plus de 4 heures d’affilée. Placer la chandelle sur une surface résistante à la chaleur et éviter les courants d’air. Laisser brûler la chandelle bien en vue et l’éteindre avant de quitter la pièce. Garder à l’écart des objets susceptibles de prendre feu. Garder hors de portée des enfants et des animaux. Ne pas éteindre la chandelle avec de l’eau. Toujours laisser la cire refroidir avant de rallumer, manipuler ou déplacer la chandelle.
